Adjudication means the process of an adjudicator going thro' your file to see whether you are eligible for adjustment!
Here pre-adjudication means irrespective whether the PD is current or not or availabilty of visa numbers the adjudication process continues.
In other words even though visa numbers are "U" till October they would not simply warm their seats but do something !

Visa numbers have been recaptured in the past (year 2000, I think).
Do we know more details on how this happened? Who worked for this and what did they do to make their efforts successful?
Same with the AC21 provision that allows changing jobs after 180 days. That is a huge accomplishment for whoever worked to make it happen.
Perhaps we can borrow some of their wisdom.

Yes there will be dates in Oct. but will that be 2006 Jan.? That is what karanp25 means.
And answer is it probably will not be. We can look back the bulletin on May and June 2007. Are they match Oct. 2007 bulletin ?
07 case is different. we can't infer much from that. I hope DOS has some insight into the no of pending cases when the move dates like this. I am sure there will be language in the actual bulletin that saves them from flak when the move dates back. The primary aim is to utilize the visa nos. EB1/2/3 is not a delimiter to innovation, innovation happens at all levels. All EB1's aren't PhD's, there are quite a few PhD's in EB2 and similarly there are quite a few MS folks in EB3 too. By saying US just wants EB1 is utter disrespect to fellow professionals who are not on EB1.

1. What is America losing because of our prolonged wait for Green Cards?
2. How people who have green cards are contributing to the country as a whole ?
3. What if the whole green card process takes less than 3 years ?
Few obvious things are we would have bought a house, gone up in our carrier ladder, spend more and contribute to the economy, our spouse could have started working etc....
I am looking for thoughts and experience other than the above things.

I have a loan with LIC. The rates are pretty good and no-prepayment penalty if paid using NRI funds only. Took some time to set all this up. Definitely need a local person to carry out all the paperwork and good support from the builder. Their email system is not very efficient. Tried with HDFC before this in Hyd and had lots of problems getting the loan even after contacting the CEO.

Why can't we have a fax campaign like NumbersUSA and fax the respective senators.
I think when it is re-introduced again we need to flood the nay/abstained senators with faxes asking them for changing the vote.

SO,can we all try to get the unused visas recaptured.If they can do that for nurses and physical therapists ,they can do that to decrease retrogression.I dont think they require senate approval.
